François Brument is a designer and teacher at ESAD de St Etienne and ENSCI / Les Ateliers where he currently runs the graduate program: Design [néo]industriel : Penser, Faire et Entreprendre le numérique. He carries out research on the potential of digital in the field of design, and, more specifically, on issues concerning computer programming and digital manufacturing.
n 2004, he graduated from ENSCI / Les Ateliers with a final project entitled, “In-Formation, paradigme digital”. Since then, he has combined his research with collaborative industrial projects through his studio, In-Flexions, founded in 2006. In 2015, he co-founded "Les Arts Codés", a venue where digital know-how and fine crafts. His work has been shown in France and abroad since 2005 and is included in collections at the Fonds National d’Art Contemporain, the Centre Pompidou, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the musée des Arts Décoratifs, the Centre Canadien d’Architecture, the Yingge Ceramics Museum, and the VIA.
