Allison Kudla, PhD is an artist and designer who creates novel experiences at the intersections of science, art, technology, and design. She has a Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of Washington’s Center for Digital Arts and Experimental Media. Her practice-based PhD focused on creating art for the purpose of looking at the universe as an operating system. She has presented her work in North America, Asia and Europe, and is part of collections in the U.S. and Europe.
Her work has won awards and been featured in prominent books, newspapers and magazines. Prior to her PhD work, she earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 2002, with an emphasis on art and technology studies. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
