Marie-Ange Brayer

Marie-Ange Brayer is curator, head of the Design and Industrial Prospective Department, at the Musée national d'art moderne, Centre Pompidou, in Paris. She holds a doctorate in the history of art and architecture (EHESS, Paris) and was a resident in art history at the Académie de France, Villa Medici, in Rome (1994-1996). From 1996 to 2014, she was director of the Frac Centre in Orléans, where she developed a collection of experimental architecture and created the ArchiLab architecture festival with Frédéric Migayrou.

In 2002, she was curator, with Béatrice Simonot, of the French Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale. She has curated, at the Centre Pompidou, the exhibitions "Imprimer le monde /Mutations-Creations" (2017), "Ross Lovegrove. Convergence" (2017), "La Fabrique du Vivant / Mutations-Creations" (2019, with Olivier Zeitoun) as well as "Ettore Sottsass, l'objet magique" (2021). She is the author of numerous articles in journals and catalogs on the relationship between art, design and architecture as well as on the challenges of digital design.
